Responsibilities This position supports end user devices and provides technical support. A strong background in technical support, customer service and understanding of client-server relationships, networking, and diverse hardware devices is required for satisfactory results in this position.
Essential Functions
--Troubleshooting - Fix, repair, replace computing devices (independent of platform
specifications) data migration, storage repair, and backup
--Analyze, configure, and install software and licenses, research best practices
--Documentation - Work related systems (projects, task management system, Knowledgebase
articles, daily activities, end user e-mail and correspondence)
--Customer service - Interface with users, training, and education, tutorial and problem solving
--Technical office equipment and peripherals - Telephony, printer configuration, scanners,
technical hospital and research equipment
--Cabling - IDF maintenance, patching, cleanup and repair
--Teamwork - Coordinate and communicate with others to complete work
--On Call - Perform extended and after hour duties as required or scheduled
--Project Tasks - Perform as a member or project manager of a project, maintain milestones,
and practice teamwork with high performance; communicate regularly with leadership on the
health and progress of the project
--Performs other duties as assigned/required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
--Advanced computer troubleshooting skills, problem solving abilities, ability to support logical
thinking and conclusions
--Effectively provide audience appropriate communication
--Professional attitude, dress and customer service skills
--Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
--Two or more years of experience in an Information Technology position required
--Technical certification from a nationally recognized testing provider preferred.
--Bachelor¿s degree from a 4 year accredited university, or state college preferred
--Must possess a valid TX Driver License

Degree: Assoc or Experience Equivalent
License/Certificate: Texas Drivers License
