Goals and Mission:
Responsible for performing site switchgear (GIS) installation including gas insulated bus (GIB), local control cubicles, protection cubicles, cabling and wiring, the commissioning, fault determination, fault intervention and first line maintenances for high voltage systems ( primary and secondary ). Will work closely with Project managers, engineering groups , proposal engineers, service and commissioning technicians and : Customer operation and maintenance teams,
Perform Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance Planning and Execution for HV switchgear (GIS) systems. Apply advanced skills to resolve complex scenarios not covered by existing procedures or practices. Display a high level of critical thinking while bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems.
Prepare offers for GIS installation, commissioning and maintenance projects. Create the documentation for GIS installation, commissioning and maintenance (i.e. planning, schedule, protocols, reports, etc.)
Continuously improve GIS installation, commissioning, and maintenance processes.
Knowledge & Skills:
Excellent Verbal and Written English communication skills. Advanced MS office applications skills. Advanced knowledge of GIS electrical drawings for HV, MV and LV switchgear and equipment. Advanced knowledge of applicable test equipment and SF6 i.e. SF6 gas and electrical measuring equipment, megger, earthing, mag-curve(CT test), contact resistance, High voltage and Partial discharge test etc. Knowledge and ability to use of SF6 Dilo gas carts
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in HV, MV and LV switchgear installation
3-5 years of experience HV, MV and LV switchgear commissioning
BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or 8-10 years experience in GIS installation, commissioning and maintenance. Certification may be required in some areas.
**80% travel is required. As such, the candidate does not have to live in the location specified in this posting.
