Experienced candidates will be responsible for constructing, installing, and maintaining communication equipment and services (Dial-tone, DSL, IPTV) to customer premises and equipment.
Install/maintain wired and wireless modems and router equipment and educate customers on their functionality. Must be adept at customer training in order to thoroughly explain, instruct, and demonstrate all aspects of existing and new technologies, i.e., IPTV and DSL. Must keep detailed records of work activity and work assignments. Ability to work proficiently with high-tech data and voice test equipment, electrical instruments and small hand tools. Must be able to distinguish wire and cable colors, analyze and interpret service orders, work orders, and circuit diagrams.
Personal computer skills, knowledge of data transmission and various software applications.
Must be able to safely handle and climb ladders and poles and work in elevated and/or confined spaces.
Must hold and maintain a valid Illinois driver's license.
CDL license may be required on certain situations.
Minimum two year Technical degree (i.e. telecommunications, networking, electronics) or equivalent experience in the telecommunications industry.
