Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and direct financial compliance of all complex business unit accounting and reporting matters.
Responsible for preparation of the monthly/quarterly corporate reporting packages, including subsidiary consolidation, foreign currency conversion, supporting schedules, and fluctuation analysis.
Support all external Audits.
Reviews contracts and sales order paperwork for revenue implications in accordance with IFRS guidelines.
Implement new streamlined systems in order to optimize efficiency and accuracy of work.
Manages monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations on technical or complex accounts.
Develops monthly financial reporting and modeling of financial data as requested by Finance Director, VP of Finance and Executive Management.
Works with Financial Planning and Analysis Director to ensure that short and long term financial plans and forecasts properly reflect the impact of accounting policies and practices.
Assist finance department on cash flow and other liquidity analysis.
Prepares specialized reports and balance sheet and income statement analyses; provides management with accurate results and interpretation.
Various ad hoc analyses and special projects.
Reporting and BU Financial Planning and Analysis
This role is fully responsible for our business unit financial reporting as well as the interpretation of accounting rules. Therefore, this position requires advanced professional knowledge and competency in accounting theory and principles. To be successful, the candidate will require strong organizational skills, strong work ethic, and good leadership skills with the ability to cultivate a positive team atmosphere in order to drive success. Additionally, candidates will possess strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent knowledge of IT systems and accounting tools, such as Microsoft Excel/Access. Knowledge of Great Plains is preferred.
Experience – The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 6-10 years of accounting experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role, and will have spent at least 4 years in public accounting with a major firm.
Certification – CPA is required.
Education – BA or BS in Accounting
