REPORTS TO: Manager FP&A, VP Finance

SUMMARY: The finance intern provides technical and support work for finance projects. The work of the Finance intern is normally limited to a few specific areas within Compressor Controls Corporation Finance department. In addition to providing fundamental technical knowledge and skills, the Finance intern’s other major aspect of work is data collection, input, maintenance, record keeping and other assigned work. The position is temporary, nonexempt, part-time/hourly position.

Provide fundamental technical support in various areas of finances for completion of specific projects.

Provide data collection, input and data management for finance projects.

Provide limited technical analysis, troubleshooting and solutions under the direction of finance department staff.

Miscellaneous clerical duties.

Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.

Specific Project Work:
o Project Routings Pilot

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.

Maintain sensitive and confidential information regarding company information.

Support the company’s employee policies and procedures, including workplace safety rules.

Communicate with management and staff, operations and maintenance inside the company; contractors, government staff/regulators and customers outside the company.


Education & Experience:
College student, sophomore or higher standing, currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or masters degree program in finance, accounting, business, or related field.

Knowledge & Skills:
Have analytical skills to recognize patterns in data, information or events to draw logical conclusions and make recommendations for action. Ability to efficiently use all Microsoft Office products.

Language Skills:
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in English, prefer candidates bilingual in Middle Eastern and Asian languages.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide to perform calculations on a variety of company and employee data. To use established computer programs to input data, run queries and perform analysis.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Provide limited technical knowledge in specific areas of accounting/finance. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

While performing the duties of this job there is no exposure to electrical power or moving mechanical parts. The noise level is usually moderate. Travel is not required.
