Position Type Full Time Posting Job Description The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a Manager, Supply Chain Analytics. The position will be based in New York and will support our newly created Supply Chain group, including areas of supply chain strategy, planning and distribution, sourcing and procurement, and asset lifecycle management functions.

The Finance Manager, Supply Chain (Analytics) is responsible for all analysis and support decisions for the supply chain group for various spend categories. The role will develop and make analytically grounded recommendations to the supply chain leadership, and help negotiate better pricing with key vendors, as well as develop the expertise to drive various strategies that allow us to reduce our costs even more through partnering with our suppliers to drive additional efficiencies into our procurement process. The role will be the owners of certain spend categories and the repository of institutional financial knowledge.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Gathering, analyzing and assuring quality of the data
collected to support supply chain and strategic sourcing
program; draw from existing data sources within
Corporate and Regions including Financial systems (AP
and PO data), work force management systems, and
various 3rd party vendor systems

  • Data Analysis/Interpretation: Ability to convert general
data and findings into applied, specific information and
suggestions that add value to business planning

  • Analytical support to various supply chain areas. Work
with TWC's Strategic Procurement, Business Affairs and
Asset Life Cycle management groups on various
projects, including supplier negotiations, decision
support analysis, and recommending course of action for
TWC

  • Interact with regions and corporate stakeholders to
understand spend plans: Understand the price and
quantity budgets in the regions for various categories;
track on a regular basis, and report on price/volume
variances. Gather historical and budgeted spend ($$ and
volume)

  • Understand and participate in the RFP process; analyze
RFP responses to make apples-to-apples comparisons
across vendors and recommend the best alternative for
the company.

Maintain playbooks for responsible categories: Own and
maintain the operating playbook for responsible spend
categories. This will include all pricing and SKU
information. Update as needed

  • Purchase Order compliance: Manage the PO workflow for
responsible categories to confirm that the price paid is
the current negotiated price. As strategic procuement
events take place, work with regions to understand
upcoming PO placements and evolve strategy accordingly

  • Development of capabilities and performance
measurements/KPIs to drive visibility into supply chain
performance

  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy and validity of the
information being reported

Coordinate between various corporate departments (e.g.
finance, strategic procurement, IT, business intelligent
etc)

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience and
leadership in finance and /or operations.

Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials

Advanced MS Excel skills (e.g. Pivot Tables, V-Lookup,
etc.); Excellent PC Software skills in Microsoft Excel,
Word, and PowerPoint as well as experience with
reporting tools.

Excellent numerical and analytic skills; Ability to analyze
and interpret statistical data

Ability to derive insight from large amounts of data from
diverse sources

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong
attention to detail

Ability to work under tight time deadlines, with frequently
changing priorities

Detail oriented individual with ability to prioritize
and handle multiple tasks

Broad business knowledge and understanding of
Supply Chain systems

Must be able to accommodate a variety of constituents
including engineering, finance and accounting, divisional
contacts and senior management

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 0-3 years of relevant leadership experience
required

  • Minimum 4-6 years of relevant work experience required
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Engineering, IT/Computer
Science, or Business required

  • MBA preferred
  • Supply chain experience preferred
