Position Description:
Channel Incentives is one of Microsoft’s key strategic initiatives. Microsoft spends billions on Channel Incentives each year across a number of businesses, programs, regions & subsidiaries. This is a very dynamic & high profile area with significant visibility at executive management level in Corporate & in the Field.

This role is responsible for providing Global FP&A support for Channel Incentives including the global Channel Incentives Budgeting & Quarterly Forecasting process, Global Financial Reporting, Training of SMSG Finance re Channel Incentives processes and supporting SMSG Finance, WPG Finance & OEM Finance.

The position is high profile, and will have frequent contact with a wide range of stakeholders including Microsoft’s regional operating centers in Singapore and Reno, Operations teams, Worldwide Partner Group, OEM Finance, Retail Finance, WW Area and Subsidiary controllers and Exec Leadership teams.

Responsibilities:

Forecast & Budget
•Project manage the global Channel Incentive Budgeting & Quarterly Forecasting process.
•Build & maintain Global Planning Tool set.
•Continuously improve the Global Planning Tool set, processes & impact.
•Co-ordinate complex inputs from varied global partners to update to deliver simplified, agile Global Planning Tool set to the field user.
•Deliver training & support to WW Area and Subsidiary controllers.
•Manage Forecast & Budget process in an integrated manner with WPG Finance, OEM Finance, Retail Finance & SMEs to deliver a seamless process for WW Area & Subsidiary Finance leads.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
•Global lead for the Channel Incentives financial reporting.
•Build & maintain Global Financial Reporting Tool set.
•Continuously improve the Global Financial Reporting Tool set, processes & impact.
•Evaluate the current infrastructure and enhance the design for long term stability and agility to support global reporting models for subsidiary controllers.
•Define and build internal reporting model for effective accrual accuracy management and trending analysis of global programs.
•Co-ordinate inputs from global partners to update the Global Financial Reporting Tool set.
•Deliver training & support to WW Area and Subsidiary controllers.
•Complete monthly analysis of Global Channel Incentive costs.
Stakeholder Engagement
•Manage the engagement process with WPG Finance, OEM Finance, Retail Finance & Subject Matter Experts to understand changes to Channel Incentive programs & implement into Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting process & tools.
•Build relationship with WW Area & Subsidiary Finance leads to implement field requirements & drive continuous improvements in Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting process & tools.
•Manage Monthly communications process with WW Area & Subsidiary Finance leads and Exec leadership teams
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
•A minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting/finance
•Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA / ACCA/ CIMA / CPA)
•Excellent communication skills. Experienced in establishing trusted advisor/ consultant relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
•Strong Impact and Influence skills, with proven ability to influence Execs and Business Decision Makers
•Strong analytical problem solving skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience
•Team Player with good organizational skills while also able to work independently, anticipate and react to frequently changing business environment
•Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal supervision
•Ability to identify, manage and drive change & process improvement
•Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and working knowledge of SAP and MS Access would be advantage
