Imagina US, an entertainment powerhouse company reaching more than 35 million cumulative subscribers in the Americas is currently seeking candidates for the positions of Finance Manager in our Miami, FL office. POSITION SUMMARYWe are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.RESPONSIBILITESManagement: 1. Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures2. Manage outsourced functions3. Oversee the operations of the accounting department4. Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.Transactions: 1. Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner2. Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly3. Process payroll in a timely manner4. Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed5. Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis6. Maintain the chart of accounts7. Maintain an orderly accounting filing system8. Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactionsReporting: 1. Issue timely and complete financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, etc)2. Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report with our external Auditors4. Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics5. Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts6. Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management7. Provide for a system of management cost reports8. Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, costs analysis, etcCompliance: 1. Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit2. Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants3. Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
REQUIREMENTS• The controller candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation preferably the Media industry• Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills (English and Spanish)• Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects• Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings• SAP advanced knowledge preferred
