Under the general direction of the Finance Manager, the Finance Systems Analyst assists in the maintenance of a comprehensive, internally developed Finance Master Module. Assists in modifying and updating the annual corporate Budget Module. The Finance Systems Analyst s erves as primary backup to the Finance Manager for producing the Statistical Fact Sheet Reports and event Profit & Loss Reports. Other duties include preparing monthly supplemental financial reports, preparing monthly journal entries for interest and insurance revenues and expenses, preparing cash flow and investment reports, and other special projects as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assists in developing and updating the annual corporate Budget Module. Updates and sets up all corporate departments/divisions for the upcoming year by importing financial data, linking cell data, adding or deleting divisions and accounts, and creating new macros or modifying existing macros using Visual Basic as needed.

Assists in the maintenance and modification of a comprehensive, internally developed Finance Master Module, including individual component modules, reports, and on-line forms. Provides technical support and assists in updating the individual modules, which includes the Budget Module, Statistical Fact Sheet Module, Profit & Loss Module, and other modules as needed. Assists in troubleshooting errors and problems with the modules, and coordinates with Information Systems to resolve problems and set up new users.

Assists the Finance Manager (and serves as primary backup) in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual Statistical Fact Sheet Reports on both a calendar and fiscal year basis. Prepares reports by importing event data and updating a master database that will allow users to access and summarize data from a single source. Generates required reports for various users.

Assists the Finance Manager (and serves as primary backup) in preparing monthly and annual event Profit & Loss Reports using Microsoft Dynamics Project Controller module. Updates and maintains overhead & allocation percentages, and prepares monthly and year-end profit & loss by event reports.

Monitors daily corporate cash flow to ensure that operating cash requirements are met and excess funds are invested in high yield instruments in order to maximize investment returns. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual cash management and investment reports as required per corporate investment policy.

Assists the Division in devising new and more efficient solutions for generating financial reports, modules, and on-line forms, which will provide timely financial information to internal & external users and expedite approval processes. This position requires the ability to structure required tasks into logical form and to identify data relationships and dependencies. The position also requires extreme attention to detail, and the ability to independently develop required programming procedures (using Excel and Visual Basic programming language) to process and run reports, modules, and forms.

Assists the Finance Manager in updating the department’s Audit Matrix for all revenue contracts, which includes maintaining a database of current revenue contracts and tracking gross sales and commissions by vendor.

Works closely with the Finance Director & Finance Manager to evaluate requirements and specifications for all newly requested modules and on-line forms in order to determine the feasibility of developing them in-house.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in finance, accounting, or information systems; and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to independently compose and develop reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Ability to correctly apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, variances, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must have the ability to methodically and logically review work for accuracy before it is submitted.


Strong computer skills are required, including the ability to work with and apply advanced Microsoft Excel functions. Must have the ability to independently create and modify macros using the Visual Basic programming language. Microsoft Access skills are a plus. Ability to effectively interact with all internal departments. Must be able to perform quickly and accurately under tight deadlines.

Ability to organize and effectively prioritize tasks in order to provide reports in final version on or before the required schedule. Must have the ability to work independently with little direction. Must possess strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately reconcile multiple data sources in order to produce final reports. Must be highly detail orientated.

Pay Range: $52,682.24 - $65,852.80
