Basic Function This exempt position is part of the team that supports the Firm’s financial business systems and provides information, primarily financial in nature, about Firm activities that will assist the partnership, management and other users in making economic decisions about the Firm’s future.
Essential Duties Provide assistance to the Director of Financial Systems in the day-to-day operations, primarily supporting Elite 3E and its other business applications that integrate with Elite; Assist with Firm efforts to develop performance measures that will help achieve the firm’s strategic business goals; Develop, test, validate and distribute complex reports using SQL, SSRS and/or other reporting and analysis tools based on firm requirements; Act as liaison between the IT and Finance department and work closely with Finance personnel in direct support of the Firm’s financial systems; Assist with system balancing and data audit activities. Other Duties Other related duties as needed or assigned.
Reporting Relationship: The Financial Systems Analyst reports to the Director of Financial Systems and also will work closely with others at various levels throughout the firm.

Qualifications: Knowledge/Experience : The Financial Systems Analyst must have general knowledge in accounting processes, financial systems and databases, along with an understanding of the business functions. This is evidenced by advanced education and training in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Systems and/or appropriate business experience. The Financial Systems Analyst is an entry level position. However, it is preferred that candidates have 2 years of general work experience in a business environment.
Skills : The Financial Systems Analyst should have excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively work with others as part of a team is required; ability to effectively leverage current technology to produce beneficial results for the firm is required. Individual must have strong skills and/or the desire to develop strong skills in specific tools the firm uses such as, MS Excel, Outlook, SQL and SSRS. This person should have the ability to effectively communicate and relate well with all levels of the organization.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance.
Physical Demands Remains stationary at least 75% of the time; This position constantly operates computers, printers and other office productivity machines (e.g. fax machine, copier, etc); Occasionally required to move documents or files weighing up to 15 lbs; This position requires communication and exchange of information with Firm personnel at various levels of the organization and also at times with clients. This position must be able to inspect and observe information on a computer screen at least 80% of the time.
