Job Title: Financial Accountant I
Direct Manager Title: Accounting Manager
LEVEL OF THE POSITION:
Coty Leadership Model: Stage II
Purpose: To support the goals of the Shared Services group and its customers in the areas of accounting and finance, including GL reporting and analysis, Payroll management and general accounting tasks.
Run weekly labor distribution and allocation, correcting any errors
Export payroll files from Ultipro and load into SAP GL
Post benefits accruals
Record payroll taxes
Perform various reclasses relating to payroll postings
Complete reconciliations of payroll accounts
General Account Analysis / Reconciliation (monthly)
Payroll Disbursement accounts
Monthly Bank reconciliations
Month-end close and Reporting
Post recurring and miscellaneous journal entries
Adhere to/improve current SOX controls and work with accounting manager and SOX team to implement any additional necessary controls.
Track changes to GL rules in UltiPro
Have manager sign-off on all payroll interfaces
Create and maintain Schedule of all leases for Sanford, Rocky Point and NY
Communicate with business partners to ensure all changes to leases are recorded properly
Collect and organize copies of all current leases
Test for Operating vs Capital treatment
Provide accurate list of all leases for yearly property tax filings
Coordinate with auditors to supply relevant lease information as required for both controls testing and year-end external audit
Analyze and reconcile lease expense accounts for accuracy
Complete quarterly reporting schedules pertaining to all lease activity and forecasts
Ad-Hoc analysis and reporting for Sanford and NY for numerous accounts.
Track and record amortization of prepaid expenses and reconcile corresponding GL accounts

Experience with Oracle, Excel, SAP and Hyperion is preferred.
Work independently in a fast paced setting.
