•BS/BA Finance/Accounting with proven experience of completing month end reporting processes in an accurate, compliant and timely manner
•Demonstrable experience in financial reporting, preparation of statutory accounts, implementation of new accounting standards etc
•Experienced in differences between IFRS, UK GAAP and other North American market GAAP
•Ability to communicate at all levels – to FDs both written and verbal, and to resolve disputes.
•Proven ability to work as a member of multi-functional teams and influence senior management within a market
•Must have advanced accountancy competencies with good reconciliation and analytical skills
•Qualified in an Accounting Professional Qualification (CPA/MBA) Must have understanding of local market GAAP
•Ensure accurate posting of financial transactions within accounts of responsibility.
•Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Research and analyze any unmatched and / or out of balance entries
•Produce routine reports, schedules, and summaries for customer and management.
•Meet service level agreements (SLAs) and performance targets related to the R2R processes
•Support period end financial closing activities and ensure an efficient and effective close is performed
•Preparation of trial balance and LOC P&L and Balance Sheet
•Prepare GSK financial reports including SB14 and Unison reporting
•Complete statutory accounting in accordance with local GAAP
•Liaise with market FDs, ICSS, outsource provider and external authorities where relevant
•Prepare outside auditor schedules to support annual audit and special audit requirements.
•Prepare or assist in preparation of financial information to support business unit needs/external reporting requirements.
