Fidato Partners is seeking a Financial Analyst, Technology to join our growing client in Philadelphia.

Responsibilities:
Tracking and review of technology department expenditures as well as preparation of monthly reports to technology leadership to explain variances versus budget and prior year

Analyze overall technology department expenditures and provide suggestions for cost control

Update R&D project development process financial templates and generate reports for technology management as needed

Assist scientists to complete the project development templates so that the financials are accurate and strong business cases are in place for all product developments

Work with the planning manager to formalize the global R&D tax credit process

Assist in calculating R&D tax credits by gathering all necessary data inputs

Coordinate submission of annual technology budget by working with the regional technology directors

Assist on ad hoc analysis and special projects requested by Chief Technology Officer and other technology management

Ongoing tracking of technology department headcount by region and laboratory

Work with regional technology and sourcing leaders to establish annual savings targets as well as develop quarterly reporting of the actual savings versus targets

Review current system used to track and report patent costs working with 3rd party firm and suggest improvements as necessary

Aid the sourcing department in the implementation of Ariba to ensure the technology department's data requirements are met and available for automated monthly reporting

Requirements:
Bachelor degree from a leading institution in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry or other quantitative discipline

Master degree in Business Administration or related field a bonus

3-5 years in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance or accounting

Prior experience working in R&D as an analyst is desirable

Experience working for a leading global manufacturing business, global pharmaceutical business, in a public company or private equity backed company environment

Strong interpersonal / facilitation / influencing / change management skills

Superior problem solving and analytical skills

Solid presentation development skills

Exceptional proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including experience with Excel Pivot Table and Macro functions

Experience with Ariba, Hyperion HFM, Microsoft BI and Confluence a bonus
