Provide formalized financial training and support to the Property Management Department, while also providing financial and analytical support to designated Vice President(s) and their assigned teams.


  • Perform account analysis on expense side for properties across portfolio.
  • Create budgets, analyze budgets and establish forecasts.
  • Create presentations for portfolio reviews.
  • Reviews operating budgets, monitors expenditures and reports variances.
  • Reviews and tracks monthly operating reports and capital expenditures.
  • Assists in the preparation of monthly reports.
  • Assists in acquisition/disposition due diligence by collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data.
  • Performs valuation analysis on properties through established methods, procedures and models.
  • Reviews CAM charges. Ensures reasonable accounting and reporting of figures.
  • Maintains a professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.
  • Coordinate training for the department as it relates to system upgrades, financial reporting and the creation and maintenance of instruction tools that assist the employees within the department.
  • Assist Department Head(s) with G & A budgets including analytical review, coding and monitoring of expenditures.
  • Create a formalized financial training program, including the creation and maintenance of instructional tools and manuals to assist with the training within department.
  • Monitor compliance within the department as it relates to financial policies and procedures.
  • Works closely with the Executive Vice President of Property Management to review budget compliance for general and administrative budgets to include Marketing, Corporate Communications, New Business Development and Property Management executive.
  • Works closely with the Executive Vice President of Property Management to formulate, analyze and control expenditures for all DDR satellite offices across the United States and Puerto Rico.
  • Assists Executive Vice President on financial and budgeting special projects.

  • Requirements

    Education, Training and/or Experience

    Bachelor's degree with three to five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience with financial modeling required.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics

  • Ability to analyze financial statements and variance reports and perform income projections.
  • Outstanding computer skills; especially financial spreadsheet capabilities and databases.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective communication both oral and written.
  • Strong data mining capabilities for creation of presentations for executive management.
  • Developed working knowledge of finance system.
  • High degree of integrity and business ethics.
  • Ability to prioritize and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision. &n bsp; ; &n bsp; ;
  • Real Estate or Property Accounting experiences a definite plus.
  • Experience with JDE.
