The Senior Financial Analyst provides financial data analysis and business decision support to management and other personnel within Assessment Development (AD) and to other company stakeholders that the group supports. The emphasis of this position will be AD support of the College Board (CB) program. This requires substantial contract oriented work. This position also provides financial support to the Policy Evaluation & Research Center (PERC).
Prepare College Board fiscal year budgets in conjunction with Division and Program management
Prepare monthly reports and analyses that will be used to evaluate performance versus budget and forecast
Build and ensure the accuracy of financial models to aid in forecasting, cost estimating and pricing
Prepare standard suite of R&D Division management reports
Support other business areas throughout the organization as needed
Support the Corporate investment decision making process
Extract and interpret relevant data with the goal of making recommendations for changes to improve the business process
Undertake change management to streamline and improve existing processes
Required Experience:Education, Certification, or Special Licenses:
BA in finance or a business related area.
Advanced degree desirable with relevant work experience substituting.
4 to 6 or more years experience with medium to large size companies
Knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting and audit related activities
Peoplesoft, Microsoft Office Applications, Financial Modeling and other data mining and reporting tools.
