Responsibilities:
  • Gather financial information, creating and updating various financial data comparing results with appropriate benchmarks and comparisons.
  • Work with various departments to help them analyze key financial metrics. Work with the Marketing department monthly to analyze programs with product revenue and profits.
  • Assist assigned departments in the preparation of annual departmental budgets and quarterly financial forecasts. Investigate, identify and make adjustments, as required.
  • Meet with assigned departments monthly and review financials and make any necessary changes.
  • Assist Controller with analyzing the monthly external financial statements for all financial entities, including the Academy’s board designated, restricted, and endowment funds.
  • Analyze and reconcile assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts, and prepare journal entries. Prepare work papers for the annual audit of Academy and AADA.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics required. Minimum four years of related experience preferred and previous experience as a Financial Analyst required. Knowledge of computer based financial systems, including general ledger and budgeting preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required and advance skills in Excel preferred. Effective verbal and written interpersonal communication, analytical and organizational skills required. Ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail is essential. Ability to execute projects with minimal supervision.
