The Financial Analyst position is integral in helping to identify, quantify, lead and validate operating and strategic initiatives that contribute to the overall financial position of the organization. The position will be part of a cross-functional analyst team and will provide support to the Director of FP&A as well as the leadership team by assisting with industry analysis, modeling, the annual budget, the ongoing forecast process and other projects as needed. The ideal candidate will be energetic, driven, technically proficient and will have the ability to work well in both individual and team settings, as well as be able to interface with various levels of management to achieve desired results.

Assists the Director with the annual budget, ongoing forecasts and other financial projects

Establishes and reports on key financial metrics

Provides insightful financial analysis to support company-wide strategic and operational initiatives

Helps to develop pro-forma income statements to align with the company’s growth initiatives

Develops framework, analytics, and data to determine the company’s ROI measurement of operational investments

Owns the forecasting and budgeting of stock-based compensation, providing further analysis as needed

Develops and maintains integrated revenue, margin and expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations

Prepares and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual results providing detailed revenue, margin and expense analysis, providing relevant and meaningful conclusions

Assists with valuation, profitability analysis and financial due diligence for acquisitions, partnerships and other transactions

Assists with Board of Director meeting, investor and other presentations

Creates, maintains and owns the analysis of competitor results, providing summaries and key insights to management on an ongoing basis

Ad hoc projects as needed

Possesses an understanding of Financial Statements including Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, and Cash Flow statements

Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated

Must be an expert in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint

Can effectively manipulate and analyze large amounts of data

Creative problem-solving skills. A demonstrated track record of making a difference and adding value

Strong organizational skills. Able to multi-task

Ability to work and adjust to changing deadlines

Must be able to develop relationships across the organization, working cross functionally to get results

Ability to present complex information in a simplified fashion to facilitate understanding

3-5 years of accounting and/or finance experience, preferably in a fast paced, high growth, public company. Retail and internet experience a plus

Bachelors degree in accounting or finance required, CPA or MBA preferred
