Primarily responsible for analysis of investments under consideration by CNL non-traded REITs. The REITs were formed to own, develop, finance and invest in a broad spectrum of properties including office, industrial, retail, and multifamily as well as seniors housing, leisure, lifestyle, and recreation properties in the United States and Canada. Also will be responsible for analysis of non-REIT real estate investments under consideration by CNL for its own account or with potential joint venture/program partners.
Essential Job Functions
Research, analyze, and review all prospective investments to ensure that each transaction achieves the respective REITs overall investment objectives.
Utilize analysis and research to formulate opinions and make recommendations to investment officers and senior management.
Responsible for underwriting of property level financials and overall investment performance.
When required, analyze and project business performance of prospective leasee/operators.
Coordinate and help prepare deal summaries containing investment overview, detailed investment rationale, competitive assessment, expected returns, and sensitivity analysis for Internal Deal Review meetings, Investment Committee, and Board of Directors.
Manage and track the companys investment pipeline and assist in allocating investments to the appropriate CNL investment vehicle.
Assist in the research and design of deal structures and participate in the discussions and decisions related to said structures.
Research and maintain database on existing and potential asset classes, properties, and sellers/operators.
Conduct ongoing tracking and analysis of investment performance.
Interface and assist with corporate asset management and accounting.
Support finance group in loan package creation process, as necessary.
Maintain current knowledge of REIT rules.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Argus.
Quantitative investment analysis experience.
Education & Experience Requested
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or real estate.
Relevant real estate investment analysis experience required.
Work Schedule Requested
This is a Full-Time Salaried Exempt position principally working weekdays during normal business hours.
Typical workweek is 50 hours with additional hours for peak work periods and projects.
Some travel may be required.
