Gain a solid understanding of Financial Engines' business model
Maintain five-year and annual planning models as well as monthly forecast
Partner with Distribution and Institutional Services Organization
Dashboards and reporting for President and EVP to drive execution against corporate priorities
Support VP of Finance with ad-hoc reporting and analysis to drive financial results
Partner with accounting on close and audit; analyze budget vs. actual variances at month-end
Review and prepare financial statements and metrics for quarterly earnings calls and reporting
Prepare monthly executive financial update and board of directors’ presentations
Analyze and review budget vs. actual reports monthly with department managers
4-7 years of experience in finance and accounting
Bachelors or Masters degree in finance or accounting
Proficient in Excel, financial modeling, and preparing presentations
Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and business partnership skills
Ability to work in a deadline driven and multi-task environment
Independent self-starter comfortable reporting to manager in Sunnyvale, CA
Clear understanding of basic accounting concepts and principles
NetSuite and Adaptive Planning experience a plus
