Financial Analyst

Location – Warrington, PA

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast paced, busy environment for a leading global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. As a Financial Analyst you will join our Finance Business Partner team. Based in Warrington, PA this individual will have specific responsibility for ICON’s Medical Imaging, the Company’s medical imaging business. Our Financial Analyst will play a key role by providing reporting insight and analysis to the Business Unit and financial leaders, analyzing financial statements and identifying opportunities for business improvements.

Overview of the Role

Develop, prepare and maintain monthly financial forecasts and budget reconciliations for the ICON Medical Imaging business.

Analyse monthly/quarterly financial results and key performance indicators for the business.

Prepare a monthly reporting package for the ICON Medical Imaging business with insightful commentary and analysis.

Manage budget and associated headcount.

Develop, build and prepare annual budgets for the ICON Medical Imaging business.

Ensure financial reporting is in accordance with organizational changes.

Make recommendations to management for optimizing financial performance and attaining financial targets.

Manage various projects.

Develop and implement ideas that improve efficiencies both in financial and operational performance of the business.

Prepare ad-hoc financial and business case analyses using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

Role Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.

A professional Accounting qualification preferred.

Very solid underlying financial skills and experience.

Proven track record of progressive commercial/ financial experience, preferably in a services arena (to include headcount, utilization & recovery and revenue recognition).

Strong track record of building and managing budget forecasts for line operations.

Strong Excel skills with the ability to model and manipulate data.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to inspire confidence.

Attentiveness and sensitivity to demands of both internal and external clients.

Ability to interact with a variety of departments and importantly non-financially focused personnel.

Very strong focus on delivery of quality outputs in a timely manner to clients (internal and external).
