The high-profile role provides insight into current operations through periodic and ad hoc management reporting and analyses, shares responsibility for corporate-wide budgeting and forecasting, and assists with special projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform data analysis to provide actionable insights and solutions to drive additional value through the company’s top initiatives. Types of analysis may include: measurements of departmental efficiencies and profitability, sales performance, staffing, etc.

Establish leadership position of relational database and reporting concepts within Finance/Accounting

Drive process solutions that support business initiatives by partnering with non-Finance departments

Act as a subject matter expert for SalesForce.com reporting and pipeline dashboards

Assist month-end close, forecast and planning duties, as assigned. Support company’s attainment of financial targets

Identify process issues and form recommendations/solutions to departmental leaders

Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis of incentive compensation plans and large projects

Facilitate Finance interaction with various business units by building strong partnerships throughout the organization

Assist Finance leadership through a team/collaboration-based approach to decision making

Qualifications:
B.S./B.A. degree in business, finance, statistics, information technology or related area or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

Adept knowledge of corporate accounting systems and PC-driven technologies

Minimum of 2 - 4 years’ experience in a ‘hands-on’ accounting role

Experience with the reporting and accounting for foreign operations is preferred

Experience with public companies and/or the software industry is preferred

Experience as a data analyst working in database system is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong Access and Excel skills, SQL or VBA familiarity and ability to perform data extracts

Excellent analytical, reporting and project management skills

Advanced problem solving skills; ability to identify problems, analyze data and draw conclusions

Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines, with a strong ability to multi-task and prioritize

Demonstrated success with ‘plug and play’ scenario models

Achieve productivity gains through automated data mining and synthesis techniques

Familiarity with GAAP accounting rules, balance sheet management and trial balance creation

Teamwork and Leadership:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and “change agent” skills

High drive for results and takes initiative

Strong bias towards teamwork and departmental collaboration

Is committed to continuous learning
