The Associate Business Analyst is responsible for assisting the director and senior management team in identifying, establishing, implementing, and monitoring financial data and related processes that contribute to the successful operations of RCS and its respective divisions; Accounts Receivable Services, Managed Care Services, and Professional Services. Other responsibilities include compiling comprehensive reports for clients, data analysis, and providing support for the day-to-day operations. The candidate must be able to work at a detailed level while understanding the big picture. Viable candidates will possess a track record of success in a hospital or consulting accounts receivable environment.
Support and update standardized reporting templates and dashboards which address and support key business functions and initiatives.
Translate business requirements into both high-level and detailed functional specifications.
Provide assistance/resolution to external and internal client inquiries
Support day-to-day operations with ad hoc analysis
Assist with the centralization of business analysis and report into the Business Analysis department
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Compile comprehensive and accurate client facing reports on a timely basis
Maintain and update routine reports such as cash, KPI, and AR analyses
Perform detailed analysis of credit balances
Assist with the eligibility scrub process
Make recommendations to streamline the reporting processes
Maintain a current working knowledge of healthcare related issues and regulations
Analyze and solve problems quickly and thoroughly
Establish realistic goals and priorities concurrent with organizational objectives
Query and analyze client data to find/understand trends and their financial impact
Maintain a professional attitude
Maintain confidentiality at all times
Adheres to all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to those identified within the Standards of Business Conduct and the Employee Handbook, as may be amended from time to time. Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations and the company's governance/compliance program.
Responsible for reporting violations of the company's policies and procedures, Standards of Business Conduct, governance program, laws and regulations through the company's Help Line or other mechanism that may be available at the time of the violation. Assists with internal control failure remediation efforts.
Becomes knowledgeable of internal control responsibilities through training and instruction. Responsible and accountable for internal control performance within their area of responsibility. Participates in the internal controls self-assessment process.
Ensures concerns with internal control design or performance and process changes that impact internal control execution are communicated to management.
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
BA/BS from an accredited 4 year university
Familiar with database concepts
Knowledge in capturing, analyzing and communicating measurement results
2 years’ experience in a hospital business office setting or similar setting
Knowledge of insurance company practices regarding reimbursement
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output
Able to work in a professional, corporate setting
Experience working with customer support/client issue resolution management
Must be reliable, responsible, goal oriented and flexible
Solid knowledge of all MS Office Products, including an intermediate level of knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Travel: 10% expected – to other MDAS offices and occasional client sites
