NORC at the University of Chicago is seeking a qualified Financial Analyst for the Health Care Research Department in Bethesda, MD.
Monitor spending activity and costs on research projects.
Providing support to a Senior Financial Analyst on very large and/or complex projects.
Supporting Senior Financial Analysts in revenue and cost-estimating efforts for proposals.
Effectively handling several different assignments (on both projects and proposals) simultaneously.
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance or finance-related topic is required.
1-3 years of experience in a position with similar responsibilities in project financial management or a related area is preferred.
Strong skills in budget development, forecasting and analysis
Strong skills in the use of spreadsheet software
Skills in the use of other computer software, such as MS Office products
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Federal Administrative Regulations
Understanding of project management
Strong skills in interpersonal communication, time management, and setting priorities to meet all project and proposal needs in a timely fashion
Strong skills in conceptualization, including skills in the development of work breakdown structures
Strong detail orientation and ability to work effectively and productively under extreme time pressures
Ability to work independently
Interest in health care and/or public health is preferred.
