SNL Financial is currently seeking to hire an Analyst in our Financial Institutions Group (FIG) that will primarily focus on the banking industry. The FIG group provides expertise on various Financial Institutions and SNL product functionality. The group members are responsible for contributing to editorial releases, providing data and analysis to outside media sources, client training through web-based presentations, and providing additional client support as needed. The Analyst in this position will be involved in all the activities of the above with a strong focus on ensuring product accuracy, addressing questions related to how we capture process and display data, and providing fact checking of data pulls as needed.
The analyst will become a Financial Institutions specialist and act as a resource for the team while working toward a senior analyst position or various operational management responsibilities in the first one to two years from hire. Requirements for success: 0 - 2 years of financial analysis experience. A bachelor's degree in a finance/accounting/economics discipline or equivalent work experience is required. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong prioritization skills, excellent problem solving abilities, and multi-tasking skills are also required. Experience with MS Excel is required; experience with SQL is a plus.
