This position will be located in Lansdowne, Virginia at the US operations corporate headquarters. The analyst will primarily be responsible for analyzing financial information to produce forecasts of business and economic conditions for use in making Business Development decisions, calculating product rebate accruals, analyze purchasing data, and provide analytical support to the Business Development team. The successful applicant will use a wide variety of IT applications and must have good general IT skills. Good analytical skills are essential

  • Calculating monthly purchasing rebate accruals
  • Interpret and evaluate financial statements
  • Reconciling the rebate accrual accounts on the balance sheet
  • Check accuracy of supplier rebate calculations
  • Analyzing monthly purchase data from distributor data
  • Monitoring contractual minimum purchase volume levels
  • Analyzing purchase data from the inventory management system Micros MyInventory to monitor pricing changes and unauthorized products
  • Analyzing sales mix data and comparing to purchase mix data to look for miss matches in activity
  • Review SAP data to look for non-compliant vendor activity
  • Providing general analytical support to the B&D team
  • Providing analytical support for purchasing tenders
  • Prepare purchasing reports for the UK parent company
  • Provide actual to budget spend reports for the Purchasing manager
  • Monitoring branch purchasing compliance
  • Maintain approved product lists by airport
  • Preparing new vendor and inventory systems approval documentation and circulating for approval
  • Providing purchasing activity summary reports for executive meetings
  • Supporting the Director of B&D with weekly and monthly management reporting
  • Preparing and analyzing quarterly pricing surveys
  • Other adhoc tasks as required
  • Travel may be required.

  • Degree in business, finance or math’s.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP, MyInventory, IQuery helpful but not essential
  • Previous experience of purchasing analysis helpful but not essential
  • Strong general IT skills
  • Ability to problem solve
