Volunteers of America Texas is a faith based, non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals, families and communities reach their full spiritual, emotional and physical potential and wellbeing through a vast array of services that target the elderly, the intellectually disabled, those striving to overcome substance abuse, and those transitioning from correctional centers.

Function:
The Financial Coach will provide both financial education and financial coaching to help low and moderate income clients set and achieve financial goals to reach financial stability and self sufficiency. This is a full time position working Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm. Salary range between $35,000-$40,000.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Maintains client files according to VOA and grant guidelines.
2. Conducts financial classes weekly.
3. Works with clients to manage their budget.
4. Works with clients to reduce or eliminate debt.
5. Works with clients to increase client savings.
6. Assists clients in improving their credit scores.
7. Assists clients to obtain and manage assets through appropriate financial products.
8. Attends all LISC meetings and phone conferences.
9. Completes data entry tasks and provide outcome reports.
Financial Management
1. Ensures management of the program's resources within budget.
2. Within the scope of responsibility, adheres to budget guidelines, including expenditures, billing for services, P-Card documentation, etc.

Qualification Requirements:
The position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University plus three years experience in applicable social and/or financial services. Masters degree is highly preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
