Responsibilities include providing highly complex strategic and financial support to functional department management specifically in the area of Global Information Systems. Functions supported by the Financial Consultant include but are not limited to the following:

Applications (including SAP)

Partner Connectivity (B2B)

Quality Assurance

Project Management Office

Recurring deliverables include but are not limited to:
Annual Global IS Budget

Monthly Global IS Forecast

Monthly Actuals reporting, analyses, tracking & accrual

Financial project management throughout Global IS Project lifecycle

Business Case Analyses for all Global IS Strategic projects and programs as needed

RFP & RFI Analyses as required to support IS Projects as sponsored by the Global Strategic Sourcing Group

Collaboration with Global Tax Groups, as required

Global Allocation of IS Costs

Oversight of assigned cost categories (i.e. External Labor, Telecom)

In addition to the recurring deliverables & responsibilities, the Financial Consultant, IS Finance is responsible for compiling financial analyses to identify opportunity for business process improvement. The identified opportunities are transformed into improvement projects.

Included below is a task level view of the activities attributable to this position. The activities listed include those that have measurable financial consequences on the organization and company as a whole.

Global Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis

Coordinate and execute full annual planning process and strategic planning (calendars/guidance) for Global IS including WWIS, IM Global and Country/Regional IS (31 countries and subsidiaries)

Coordinate and execute monthly forecast process (projects, total spend, P&L and headcount) for the Global IS organization.

Monthly Executive Reporting

Preparation of weekly and monthly executive financial analysis to be reviewed by CIO, CFO, COO and CEO.

Preparation of monthly corporate closing reporting to be reviewed by CFO, Corporate Controller and CIO.

Weekly Project and Lights On Reporting

PMO financial reporting

Weekly Lights On/Small Enhancement detail reporting

Weekly Labor Reporting

Weekly Project Reporting (WPS) including “Project Watch”

Weekly Time Card Compliance Reporting

Monthly Functional management reporting

Strategic Project & Program Financial Management (including planning, accounting and reporting) for strategic corporate wide IS initiatives. Examples of some strategic initiatives include:

SAP ERP solution (aka IM Global)

Web Technologies (aka eSolutions covering web strategy as well as EDI/XML partner connectivity)

Global Data Center Strategy

Global Project & Program Financial Management (including planning, accounting and reporting

Responsible for all Executive, Program & Project manager financial reporting (~300 projects worldwide) from WWIS, 31 countries and IM Global.

Full financial management of portfolio of software development projects that serve business units around the world.

Manage AFCE Development/Routing process for all functions

Maintain standard financial models and documents for AFCE process.

Develop and maintain standard financial/investment model for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), especially for large projects

Manage all SAP Project Setup

Forecasting of project spending and related capitalizations

Post Mortem financial review of projects/benefits

General Financial Management

Business Case & RFI/FRP Analyses as needed

Financial management of all major areas of spend (internal headcount, external contractors, maintenance, outsourcing arrangements, telecom).

Lead all pricing analysis and processes with outsourcing vendors.

Financial management of maintenance portfolio (~200 annual contracts/vendors)

Financial management of infrastructure contracts which encompasses mainframe, mid-range servers, storage, desktop, help desk, network, email management etc.

Financial management of outsourced or staff augmentation contracts which encompasses ~150 FTEs supporting ~200 projects globally.

Financial management of all Lights On initiatives (i.e. meeting with all application owners on a monthly basis to understand trends, drive remediation on spend issue, etc.). Approximately 100 various application areas tracked each month.

Financial management of the global network telecom investments (circuit tracking, costing, charging, forecasting etc.)

Management Allocation Process

Establish and maintain Management Fee/Allocation Methodology for WWIS and IM Global.

Calculate and report regional allocations on an annual and quarterly basis.

Perform quarterly regional allocation reporting. Present to regions and WW Finance on quarterly basis.

Global Tax

Evaluate current tax allocation methodology and document process for review by regions.

Prepare ongoing corporate tax allocation reporting on a quarterly and annual basis.

Support IRS audit requirements on an ongoing basis.

A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in Finance, Accounting, or related business discipline. A Masters of Business Administration degree is desired. A minimum of level of 8 -10 years of experience in:

Information Systems Project & Financial Management

Analyses of Industry Financial Reports, Budgets, Forecasts

Analyses of Capital Projects, Strategic Initiatives, RFI/RFPs

SAP ERP Systems or equivalent

Complex international business environment

Vendor & Resource Management

Related experience:
Knowledge of related Ingram Micro’s business practices and direction

Ability to anticipate company and customer needs in response to a changing global business model

Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, internal and external customers and other cross functional program tracks

Direct engagement with business resources to gauge current and future strategic needs, analyze impact.

Related personal skills:
Demonstrated high competency in the execution of multiple large projects

Detailed understanding of SAP implementation methodology and its’ practical application to country roll outs

Demonstrated competency in managing third party providers, especially with SAP certified solutions and bolt-ons.

Managing resources to meet goals across multiple projects.

Demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and Complex business problems.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with a proven track record for each.

Manage the operational budget, report metrics for the group.

Manage a cross functional team to oversee and review process design, change assessment and business readiness.

Liaison with project management office and appropriate Project Management offices to help manage the day-to-day interdependencies of multiple project teams.
