Great Opportunity for an Entertainment Manager position (posted March 29, 2013) in Hanover, Maryland. Gaming Hospitality Executive as been retained to assist a company to identify a candidate with experience in strategic development, coordination, implementing, and administering all headline and lounge entertainment programs and venue management. Job description for the position of Entertainment Manager is as follows... Responsible for the facilitation of all entertainment events and needs required by the marketing department and organization. Works with Digital / AV staff for best result in overall entertainment for the property. Responsible for maintaining appropriate sound levels with live and digital entertainment. Assists with Special Events and Promotions as needed. Facilitates all entertainment for the property including, but not limited to, live stage entertainment, headliner entertainment, special event entertainment, promotional entertainment, off-site event entertainment and background music / digital entertainment. Produces proformas, maintains budget, provides monthly P/L justifications, and presents programs concepts for approval. Presents proformas to marketing and management authorizers for review and approval. Assists in special projects. Works directly with the Digital/AV, Promotions and Player Development entities through promotional and event development. Coordinates with departments to make sure ambient entertainment is appropriate and helps train other operating departments on appropriate management techniques of sound and digital systems. Conducts frequent operational and creative planning meetings with marketing and operational departments to keep a fresh product.
Entertainment Manager Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Entertainment Management or related experience required. 2 -5 years entertainment venue and/or production management experience required. 2-5 years entertainment buying or production required. Previous Audio/Visual and hands on experience in the following areas as given below. Experience in configuring, setting up all systems as given below in subsections of Audio, Video and Lighting. Knowledge of troubleshooting technical issues, instantly pinpointing faults and remedy during an event under Audio, Video and Lighting. Experience in handling events. Knowledge and experience in MS Office applications. Commitment and ability to work on flexible shifts and days off and long hours, ability to provide lateral service to other department with a different job characteristics Microphone, Public Speaking and/or stage presence required. Strong financial and budgeting skills required Contract negotiation experience required.
