The Financial Education Consultant forms the foundation of consultative relationships with every employee to help meet their financial needs today and tomorrow, culminating in a financially sound retirement. This individual is focused on the 403b market. Included in this responsibility is the ability to be flexible, manage one’s own schedule, expense reporting and travel throughout the state of Indiana and possibly other states in the region. The Financial Education Consultant addresses the needs of participants to deliver a tailored solution of exceptional quality that helps participants achieve a successful retirement. This is accomplished through a comprehensive retirement conversation, delivered face-to-face and through inbound & outbound calls.
Support the implementation of education deliverables within client communication plans for assigned 403b client
Demonstrate subject matter expertise related to 403b retirement plans, investment knowledge, financial planning, and impacts of current economic conditions through the delivery of financial education presentations and 1x1 sessions to retirement plan participants
Track and report monthly individual metrics to management to demonstrate business impact and results
Strong knowledge of current IRS rules and regulations around taxation of tax-deferred accounts, contributions and distribution methods
Proven ability to balance multiple assignments and meet strict deadlines with conflicting priorities
Develop, deliver and evaluate new participant educational content in support of Audience of One® initiatives as well as individual clients and prospects.
- Document and assimilate client information with teammates on network databases.
Extended travel (60% or more) may be required

FINRA Series 7 and 63 required. Series 65 or 66 is preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in financial services, retail brokerage, 403b/defined contribution recordkeeping or pension administration industry as they relate to communicating with the public preferred
- Demonstrate success in sales
- Motivated, self-starter
- Position and differentiate internal products/service/solutions against competitor firms
- Successfully cultivate and manage business relationships with clients, either internally or externally
- Strong consulting skills with ability to provide guidance for successful client solutions
Solid writing and presentation/public speaking skills required
Strong organizational skills required
Experience managing towards specific metrics/goals for success strongly preferred
Ability to be flexible and work in a continuously changing environment
