LOCATION: 1110 W. Washington St, Suite 450, Phoenix, AZ 85007

Recognizing the growth of Indian gaming in the State and the need for an independent regulatory body with expertise in gaming, the Arizona Legislature passed Laws 1995, Chapter 76, which expanded the Arizona State Gaming Agency to become the Arizona Department of Gaming ("the Department"). The Department partners with Arizona's Indian Tribes to oversee Indian casinos. Gaming in Arizona is governed by the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compacts between the State and 21 Arizona Tribes. The Department of Gaming is currently looking for a Financial Investigator to join their team.

-In conjunction with a special agent, conducts financial investigations of entities and individuals for State Gaming Certification
-Conducts forensic audits and related financial investigations, examines company and/or individual financial records
-Confers/coordinates with assigned special agent, assists in preparing comprehensive reports of findings
-Confers with appropriate manager, assistant Attorney General and Tribal entity
-Testifies in administrative and/or criminal proceedings as necessary
-Requires domestic and occasional international travel

-Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related financial field and three years of professional financial investigative or closely related experience
-An advanced degree may substitute for six months of the required experience.

*Preferred Qualifications:
-One year audit /accounting experience
-Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CIA, CMA, CFE)

This position requires up to 31%-60% of Regional travel, with some overnight stays required
