The Opportunity As a Financial Management Trainee, you will have the opportunity to obtain credit information, reports and other necessary information to effectively evaluate prospective customers. You can expect to handle routine correspondence with customers, sales representatives and other employees regarding purchase requests, claims, invoicing, and other financial issues. You will also assist with customer credit evaluations, approvals and collection efforts by phone or in person. Additional responsibilities include obtaining necessary customer job information including lien rights and notifications and maintaining accurate files and records.
A Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in credit or collections is required. The ideal candidate must exhibit a positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and assume responsibilities. The ability to effectively interface with a customers backgrounds and personalities is a must. Candidates must also exhibit the ability to absorb and apply the principles of financial management and possess intermediate computer skills with an emphasis in spreadsheets (Excel). Candidates willing to relocate for future promotional opportunities strongly preferred.
