Job Description This role will report to the VP of Finance, but will be focused on supporting the marketing organization. This role will work closely with the finance, marketing and business intelligence teams. The Marketing Analyst will be responsible for measuring financial performance behind our marketing efforts, by providing key marketing analytics, testing and ROI analysis for our various marketing programs and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the optimization of marketing spend for ~$40MM marketing budget
  • Monitor marketing budget allocation across the organization
  • Interface with CFO, VP of Finance, and VP of Marketing to ensure maximum marketing budget efficiency
  • Work to improve marketing efficacy by manipulating operational and financial levers
  • Support business stakeholders with high quality analyses and actionable recommendations by combining and manipulating data from multiple sources.
  • Provide support to the budgeting and forecasting process:
  • Perform financial analysis including variance analysis; must be able to outline key variance drivers and key risks to projections while applying financial acumen to explain results.
  • Provide detailed analytics to support business decisions
  • Provide consistent and organized documentation of data and results reported
  • Diagnose business trends through detailed data analysis, including data validation & visualization and statistical analysis
  • Other special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Key Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Accounting, Statistics, Economics or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience performing financial analysis
  • Must have advanced SQL skills (you will be tested): extensive experience querying large, complex data sets
  • Working knowledge of statistics - experience with R, SAS or similar application
  • Ability to execute research projects, and generate actionable results and recommendations
  • Support business stakeholders with high quality analyses and actionable recommendations by combining and manipulating data from multiple sources.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects
  • Enjoy working in both individual and team settings
