Job Description:
This position presents an opportunity to participate in a growth oriented company and assist the Financial team with budgeting and other crucial projects. This role is ideally suited to a high capability professional seeking a challenging development opportunity in the field of finance.

Reporting to the Senior Financial Reporting Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for various financial functions. More specifically the financial analyst will have the following responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and complete the reviews of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements

Work closely with external auditors on the reporting of multiple statutory audits

Assist in the review of annual operating plans and quarterly report to partners

Prepare detailed critical performance results and coordinating communication to stakeholders

Work with staff to monitor debt compliance of the Company’s project financing agreements

Assist in the preparation of debt covenant calculations

Assist in consolidation process during the monthly and quarterly close

Working knowledge of Cognos Controller

Prepare and report monthly financial statements including detailed variation analysis

Continually providing an overview of the company’s financial status to the operations group

Prepare and review of adhoc reportsAssist in technical application of US GAAP and IFRS

Required Skills

Candidate Profile

Experience in complex consolidations and investment eliminations

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting from an accredited University

Demonstrated analytical skills

Ability to work with minimum supervision and in a team environment

Accurate and detailed oriented

Solid abilities in working with Excel

Experience with the preparation of financial statements

Ability to work in a challenging and fast paced environment
