The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for completion, maintenance and delivery of existing production reports to both internal and external customers. The report analyst will also be responsible for timely completion of ad hoc report requests along with testing and QA of new reports and/or new system functionality. Analyst may support clients on multiple EMR/HER systems using various reporting tools.

Within the department and under the instruction of the Manager , this position will ensure the overall goals and objectives are met.

Work with internal customers to design and produce analysis/reports geared around performance improvement efforts and other clinical/financial analytic efforts.

Utilize Cognos tools to complete day to day tasks.

Ensure monthly distribution of reports in an efficient and timely manner in coordination with other departments

Daily review, triage, assignment and timely completion of all help desk tickets.

Creation and modification of documents using MS Office products with emphasis on:

MS Power Point presentations

MS Excel reports and charts

Printing and collating Customer reporting packages.

Analyze and anticipate production needs of client executives.

Report Q&A – Perform testing scripts to validate new and/or modified reports.

Development and maintenance of client reporting lists.

Special projects and analysis as needed.

On time delivery and accurate completion of reports.

Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Client Reporting.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

Knowledge of Cognos 8 Reporting

3-5 years of experience in Financial and/or Operational Reporting

Strong Excel skills

Strong analytical, organizational skills

Previous experience in designing and preparing reports

Highly motivated with the willingness and ability to accept greater responsibility

Ability to think creatively and complete timely and effective execution of initiatives

Healthcare experience a plus
