Manage the relationships (relating to financial matters) between CITGO, PDVSA (Finance), PDV Holdings, PDV America, and the external auditors. Plan and direct the preparation, analysis, and review of Financial Statements, Footnotes, and Management Discussion and Analysis required. Manage the filing requirements associated with the Luxembourg Exchange.
College Degree (Bachelors Level) Accounting.
CPA; Big 4 public accounting experience.
Experience in drafting financial reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
Strong analytical ability.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience in audit process and procedures.
Prioritize work when given multiple projects.
Extensive computer skills: Word and Excel.
The minimum number of years of job related experience required by this job is 8-12.
Plan and direct the preparation of written disclosures, and management’s discussion, and analysis required with the quarterly and annual financial statements. Is also responsible for the coordination and review of all supporting footnotes and other supporting financial information required by CITGO’s external and internal stakeholders.
Is primarily responsible for maintaining the relationship between CITGO, and its external auditors. This includes, planning, and managing meetings and information requirements between CITGO and KPMG.
Establishes, in conjunction with KPMG, and the Manager of Technical Accounting, the proper disclosure requirements as mandated by GAAP, IFRS, SEC, and/or Luxembourg to insure CITGO is in compliance with all statutory and accounting requirements.
Is responsible for the interface between CITGO and Assistant VP of Finance on providing the required financial statement data for presentations for external stakeholders (bankers, debt holders, investors). Also responsible for reviewing any documents prepared for consistency with issued financial statements.
Responsible for the integrity of the Financial Statements, and to insure that the Financial Statements are prepared within most recent requirements of US GAAP, IFRS, and all statutory requirements. Is also responsible for the Final Financial Statement agreements with all financial data within SAP, or it does not agree, can analyze and provide sound business reasons for any differences.
Manages all financial reporting requirements as mandated by CITGO’s shareholder. This includes the monthly SIFO, and other financial date requirements requested by CITGO’s shareholder.
Represent Finance on behalf of Assistant Controller financial Reporting & General Accounting in various meetings when necessary.
