This position will oversee Cadence's public financial reporting and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing process, which includes primary ownership and responsibility for the quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K filings, as well as other SEC filings as the need arises. This position will manage the 10-Q and 10-K drafting process which includes collaboration with Cadence's legal team and a cross-functional team from finance and business units to ensure that all relevant and required information is captured and reflected in Cadence's public filings. The position will also ensure that XBRL filing requirements are fully met in connection with SEC filings.
Responsibilities will also include various technical accounting responsibilities, such as technical research and monitoring developments by US and international accounting setters and by the SEC. The position will be part of the corporate accounting team and will assist with the monthly and quarterly accounting close, internal reporting, support of external auditors and assist with special projects, such as acquisitions, as necessary.

The candidate should have a bachelors degree in accounting or finance and have at least five to seven years of technical accounting and financial reporting experience, either in public accounting or with an SEC registrant. The candidate should have extensive understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SEC disclosure requirements and have the ability to research technical accounting issues. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines are imperative. Additional accounting and general ledger experience and familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 compliance is also a plus. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
