Position Summary

Hard Rock is looking for an experienced financial reporting manager with proven technical skills in accounting and financial reporting, and with the ability to work across jurisdictions and develop policies and procedures to contemplate enterprise wide business strategies.

Essestial Functions
  • Responsible for the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidations using SAP consolidation software.
  • Development of reports using SAP consolidation software to support external reporting requirements.
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual SEC style financial statements.
  • Coordination, planning and execution of external audits with independent auditors.
  • Partners with other members of finance, tax, treasury, legal, merchandise and other departments to obtain necessary information and analysis to support reporting and auditing process.
  • Preparation of multiple sets of annual financial statements for various legal entities within the Hard Rock Group. Statements are prepared in accordance with USGAAP, IFRS, GASB and other GAAPs
  • Preparation of financial covenant calculations.
  • Assist with preparation of information for quarterly investor calls
  • Preparation of analysis of statutory GAAP to US GAAP differences for foreign locations
  • Drive process improvements and system implementations related to financial reporting.
  • Analyze emerging accounting and disclosure standards in various GAAPs and presents impact of such changes to Controller. Prepares memoranda supporting Company’s position and impact on the Company.
  • Assist with preparation of information for quarterly investor calls
  • Designs, writes and ensures effective and practical implementation of corporate policies relating to financial reporting
Requirements

MINIMUM
  • A minimum of 5 years experience with full-scope accounting and reporting functions, including “Big Four” or large regional firm experience and at least one year industry experience.
  • CPA or equivalent certification required.
  • Experience should demonstrate ability to research and resolve complex financial accounting, financial analysis or financial reporting matters.
  • Solid experience with general ledger systems and consolidation software highly desired. Specifically, Lawson and SAP BPC are the products used by Hard Rock
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills and the maturity to work comfortably with senior management, related parties, independent audit firms and across a multi-cultural organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, with expertise in Excel.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment A desire to work in a fast-paced environment; a track record of success in prioritizing, multi-tasking, and consistently meeting deadlines with a high quality of work.
  • Team player and ability to work independently
  • Multiple language abilities a plus, fluency in English required.
  • Experience in hospitality industry is desirable.
