The Financial Services Analyst supports the financial and accounting functions within the Business Operations organization. Business activities will include all general financial responsibilities related to month-end close processes, budgeting & forecasting, detailed financial review, analysis & reporting. Responsible for assisting/managing the forecasting and planning processes as well as completing day to day analysis that provide the business units with quality information for decision making.
o Analyzes financial information – detailing O&M & Capital spend variances to budget, forecasts and prior year. Works with analyst groups and management to explain these variances and assists/manages the month-end results and close process.
o Assists and manages the development of the annual budget and monthly forecasts.
o Conducts FTE/Headcount/Org Chart reconciling and reporting.
o Ensures the reporting hierarchical structures for cost centers & all cost element types are accurate and a true reflection of the CSS organization. This includes work flow processes.
o Responsible for tracking, reporting and analysis of Staffing Levels, Overtime and Labor Overheads.
o Responsible for tracking, reporting and analysis of payroll dollars actual performance vs. budget.
o Coordinate the Labor Planning Process to include labor assumptions.
o Assists and manages information requests related to budgets, forecasts, historical information, and other business and financial needs. Prepares reports and provides solutions as needed.
o Will provide support role in IBEW negotiations to determine financial impact of various aspects of agreements.
o Will provide support in responding to Request for Information related to staffing and/or labor.
o Bachelor’s degree in Business with concentration in Finance or Accounting.
o 3 years experience in a finance or accounting environment.
o Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License
o Knowledge of SAP
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling.
o Must have favorable driving record
