Substitution of Experience for Education Permitted (Non-faculty only)
The position manages budgeting, accounting and diversified financial service responsibilities of the College's daily operations.
Prefer applicants with: (1) a current CPA or awarded MBA (with a major in accounting), (2) at least five years of financial reporting experience for a large institution, preferably in higher education, (3) a working knowledge of the State of Florida accounting and reporting requirements, (4) strong accounting skills and GASB, (5) knowledge of the tax reporting requirements for public higher education institutions (including UBIT), (6) must be deadline driven with a high level of reporting accuracy.
Supplemental Job Information
The primary duties will include assisting with or preparing external financial reports (including the Annual Financial Report), monthly reports to the Board of Trustees, periodic reports to the Florida Department of Education, and monthly and annual tax returns (including Unrelated Business Income Tax).
