Diploma from an approved nursing program or a degree in nursing, and three years of experience working as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department; OR bachelor's degree and five years of field experience as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic in a progressive Emergency Medical Service system; OR high school diploma or G.E.D., and seven years of experience as an Emergency Medical Service Field Supervisor and Quality Assurance officer; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Possession of a license to practice as an RN preferred. Knowledge and skills in Emergency Patient Care Reports (ePCR) is desired. Applicant must maintain license or certification levels throughout employment. Significant knowledge of Emergency Medical Service systems and quality assurance/improvement programs is a must. Computer literacy and the ability to assimilate and analyze data to provide useful reports for the systems providers and the Operational Medical Director(s) required. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to read patient care reports and determine if proper patient care was provided based on the information in the report. Good driving record required. Must not reflect a total accumulation of six or more negative points within the past three years or a major violation within the past four years. Pre-employment drug testing and FBI criminal background check required.

Duties:

Responsible for maintaining and updating Chesterfield Fire and EMS, as well as all volunteer rescue squad patient care records. Develops required monthly patient care reporting data submission to the Virginia State Office of EMS/Virginia Department of Health. Responsible for executing performance improvement projects, quality assurance, quality improvement and maintaining high level of patient care standards. Gather data for reports as required. Perform other work as required.

Monday - Friday 8:30a.m. - 5:00p.m.; hours may vary as required
