Assist in the preparation of deliverables and products such as presentation materials, calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates related to fire protection systems for commercial and government facilities.
Perform field investigation for incorporation of existing conditions into construction documents.
Perform construction administration duties, such as shop drawing review, RFI response, construction inspection, and respond to client questions.
Work within a project team environment and possess good presentation and client interface skills.
Coordinate work with other project disciplines.
Work independently and make technical decisions based on building code interpretation and company standard practice.
Experience with an engineering firm designing fire protection in commercial and institutional facilities are desired.
Understanding and knowledge of the architectural and engineering industry, including the Federal, State, and local laws and regulations that pertain to that industry.
Experience using AutoCAD 2006 or more recent.
B.S. in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Engineer-in-Training or Intern Engineer certification desired.
