Specific Duties and Responsibilities :
Must possess a Massachusetts second class fireman’s license. Responsible for firing boilers on scheduled shift and maintaining operating pressure for plant operations. Required to perform daily water treatment as applied to boilers and cooling towers including treatment analysis. Responsible for cleaning oil and gas burners, oil strainers, and smoke meters, as required to comply with DEP/EPA air pollution monitoring regulations. Responsible for performing preventative maintenance of equipment through Maximo maintenance system. Required to perform daily/per shift monitoring of compressed air systems equipment. Required to perform daily/per shift monitoring of ammonia refrigeration systems equipment. Required to monitor and record all air, electric, fuel, water meters and enter data into computer files. Responsible for maintaining daily documentation pertaining to shift ownership. Responsible for performing monthly analysis, inspections and inventories.
