Job Summary:
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, an international law firm with over 1400 lawyers in 24 offices is seeking a Director of Central Records. Reporting to the Chief of Administrative Operations. This is a newly created position designed to be an integral member of the management team responsible for providing leadership and direction on records management initiatives. The primary responsibility of this position is to plan, direct and manage the firm's vision for records management through policy, personnel, budget, technology, physical design and organizational initiatives.

Responsibilities include: developing and executing strategic objectives in concert with firm management; providing leadership and direction to records programs and personnel; ensuring the firm's offices have consistent approaches, processes and tools for records management; developing and executing plans to facilitate the efficient operations of all automated and manual records systems; auditing for compliance with firm policy, industry standards, and local laws; managing resources; collaborating with Information Technology and others to evaluate new and evolving technology; directing a remote team of staff in support of firm-wide initiatives; developing and implementing policies, procedures, protocols; conducting regular financial analysis to reduce expenses and ensure cost effective operations; and budgeting.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills, a proactive and self-directed approach to managing multiple projects, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, and the ability to deal effectively with differing opinions and personalities at all levels within the firm. A minimum of 10 years related experience, including three in a management role, required. Graduate degree in a related field preferred. Demonstrated success in a mid to large size professional services organization strongly preferred.

Position may be resident in our Philadelphia, New York, or Washington, D.C. office.
