Manages University fixed asset accounting system; facilitates disposal of University property; maintains awareness of current fixed asset accounting practices, evaluates for applicability to University operations, and recommends and implements enhancements when appropriate; manages University non-student accounts receivable (AR) system including the distribution of invoices, reconciliation of AR system to general ledger, collection of delinquent accounts, testing of system for upgrades and identifying appropriate enhancements; works with other departmental staff to facilitate best practices for fixed asset and receivables accounting and evaluates opportunities for savings and improvements; and works with University departments to provide training and ensure compliance with relative policies and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
Good communication skills and proficiency with desktop software applications also required.
At least one year of fixed asset accounting experience preferred.
