- Performs some major and minor repairs on vehicles, light/heavy trucks, vans, and forklifts.
- Performs basic diagnostic troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Performs preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Assists other fleet mechanics.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in and around fleet garage.
- Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's Degree in Applied Technology or related field preferred. Three (3)-ASE certifications or five (5) years of vehicle maintenance experience required. Valid Driver's License is required. Must be able to obtain a class A CDL license within 90 days of hire, if CDL is not currently held. Gas, diesel and propane onboard diagnostics required. Hydraulics, air conditioning, vehicle repair knowledge, battery powered industrial equipment knowledge and welding skills required. A good work ethic for daily physically and mentally challenging work is needed. Must enjoy working outside year round. Attention to detail is critical. Must be able to meet PBV driving qualifications. Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
Constantly (67%-100%) required to walk and stand. Frequently (34%-66%) required to climb and lift up to 100 pounds. Occasionally (0%-33%) required to sit.
Must be able to speak and read English.
