Job Description : Position will regularly work second shift and weekends to perform fleet maintenance.
Responsible for preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers and reefer units.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems to manufacturer’s recommendations and specifications on company vehicles.
Perform general truck and trailer repairs including, but not limited to, anti-lock brake systems, engines, computerized engine controls, refrigeration units, suspension, steering, tire replacement, lights, hoses, belts, batteries and electrical systems including electrical wiring diagnosis.
Perform other fleet related functions as directed by the Fleet Manager.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
High School diploma or GED required.
Must possess a Class A CDL, or ability to obtain one within six months of hire date.
Must possess current DOT medical card, or ability to obtain one within six months of hire date.
Knowledge of DOT regulations.
Preferred candidate will have 5 years previous tractor and trailer repair experience performing repairs listed in above job description.
Refrigeration experience, specifically with Carrier / Thermo-King a plus.
Must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without accommodation.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
Must have own tools.
Preferred candidate will possess computer knowledge.
