The Flex Associate is responsible for understanding all positions and roles on the production line, stepping in to fill those positions as needed and provide ongoing communication to assure team members are aware of and prepared for the work of the shift. All procedures and practices used are grounded in standards, regulations and laws addressing food safety and food quality, as well as environmental safety in accordance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Position Responsibilities 1. Maintain understanding of the production schedule for each shift and how it influences work to be done

2. Trains for and is prepared to support any position on the production line as needed

3. Observes the flow of the production line and identifies where help is needed stepping in to any position to provide support or relieve for breaks

4. Communicates with associates routinely to assure that all are aware of the work to be completed, priorities for the day and any impending issues

5. Communicates routinely with Shift Supervisor providing feedback on the how work is progressing and any impending issues or concerns

6. Participates in overseeing quality of the products being baked as well as the effective operation of equipment

7. Assist Quality Assurance on all standards, regulations and laws regarding food safety and food quality as well as environmental safety

8. Remains current in training expectations of all positions on the production line. Sets personal goals for continued learning and growth

9. Keeps work environment clean, safe and positive and coaches others in doing the same

10. Primary focus of all business related efforts are and must remain that of promoting excellence in all ConAgra products Position Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma
  • Requires an understanding of mixing, baking, packaging machine operations, box erecting, case packing, palletizing and all other production functions
  • Requires a working knowledge of food safety and food quality standards and regulations such as SQF 2000 and environmental safety regulations along with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Requires effective and clear written and oral communication skills to clearly communicate with and coach team members
  • Requires basic mathematical skills to be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Requires leadership skills and teamwork ability and a positive attitude
