Position Title: Flight Instructor
Primary Operational Objectives:
Represent the school in an appropriate manner by providing professional quality ground and flight training to our clients including evenings and weekends.
Essential Job Functions:
•Providing ground and flight training for individuals interested in pilot certificates/ratings.
•Providing recurrent training for pilots in the community.
•Providing insurance qualification training for pilots renting flight school aircraft.
•Promoting sales of company services and inventory.
•Attending company sponsored aviation events such as seminars, symposiums, open houses, air shows.
•Providing assistance to other company departments when called upon.
•Education – Must hold an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Airplane Single-Engine Land Rating. Must also hold an FAA Flight Instructor Certificate with a Single-Engine Rating.
•Experience – Flight training programs across the country vary based on training materials and flight school procedures. No instructional experience is necessary; however, flight experience in Cessna 172 airplanes would be preferred.
•Special Skills – Interpersonal and communication skills are paramount. Must have computer skills as appropriate for client/airplane scheduling, record keeping, and client/company communications.
•Must hold an FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
