A TSTC Flight Instructor applicant must hold a valid and active FAA Certified Flight Instructor license, a current Class II medical, and an Associate Degree or higher. Applicant must be able to comfortably provide instruction to a student in a Diamond DA-20 cockpit, not exceed the weight restrictions of 250lbs, and be available for flexible hours from 6am until 11pm based on student’s requirements.
Flight Instructor Duties:
Operate under the direction of the chief flight instructor.
Organize, update, and present prepared instructional materials.
Provide flight and simulator instruction according to syllabus requirements.
Conduct constructive preflight and post flight debriefings for all flights.
Accurately record flights and student performance in student’s flight training record.
Endorse students for solo flights, knowledge tests, and check rides in accordance with Part 61 and Part 141 regulations.
Attend weekly instructor pilot meetings.
Attend regularly scheduled Safety Meetings.
Ensure your students complete the required preparations prior to flights, and the TSTC requirement after flights.
Respond to phone calls and emails.
Associate degree in aviation or related field
Valid and unexpired Certified Flight Instructor Certificate
Second Class Medical Certificate
Texas Drivers License

Instruction based Simulator session
Salary - Part-time $20 - $24 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
