Food and Beverage Shift Manager

Job Description
Responsible for training all new Food and Beverage Staff for their outletupon hire. Responsible for overseeing assigned outlet during their shift. Also must maintain food inventory and supplies in accordance with business demands. Responsible for monitoring regularly scheduled cleanings while ensuring prompt, efficient and friendly quality service and preparation of food and beverage items to any and all customers. Complies with all department rules, regulations, policies, procedures and internal controls, and any and all local, state and federal rules and regulations. Requires that payment, and/or comp authorization is received upon service of all food and beverage items provided and is responsible for assisting food and beverage staff in the proper balancing of the cash register. Promotes positive public and employee relations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties
Responsible for training all Food and Beverage staff in their outlet. Must also monitor par levels and daily inventory of supplies. Ensures prompt, efficient and friendly quality service and preparation of food and beverage items to any and all customers. Complies with all department rules, regulations, policies, procedures and internal controls, and any and all local, state and federal rules and regulations. Accepts payment and/or comp authorization upon service of all beverages prepared and/or served. Oversees the balancing of the cash registers at the end of shift. Participates in weekly inventory of food and beverage supplies. Participates in developing specials. Attends periodic meetings and training sessions. Assists Food Court Manager with weekly and monthly orders.

Job Requirements
Physical and Mental
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach and stretch. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. Must be friendly, outgoing, congenial and a team player. Ability to visually observe work area and performance of job. Ability to perform basic math, ability to communicate effectively in English (orally and in writing).

Work/Educational Experience
Must have an Associate's degree or at least five years food and beverage experience. Must have significant food and beverage and customer service knowledge. Must be certified or become certified by any state, city or country agency having jurisdiction over the employee's area of operation. Must also complete Training and/or certification by any applicable franchisor. Must be at least 18 years old and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the NY State Lottery Regulations.
